Back links (reciprocal links) are links of similar sites which are placed on your site, the other site in return places a link to your site on theirs. Back links (reciprocal links) are important because search engines use this information to rank your page when a search is performed; the idea is to have back links (reciprocal links) that are somehow related to your site, the better the links, the higher your ranking.
