Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates can be purchased on your web site just like another product. When a customer purchases a gift certificate, an email is sent to the recipient of the gift certificate with a Redemption Code, this redemption code allows them to redeem their gift certificate.

Adding a Promotional Gift Certificate

  • In the main Gift Certificate page, click on the "Add New" link in the top right corner of gift certificate list
  • Enter the appropriate information into text fields
  • Click the "Add" button to save gift certificate
    • Redemption Code A code you assign so that the gift certificate recipient can retrieve their gift certificate. (alphanumeric characters only)
    Initial Amount Initial dollar value of the gift certificate. (numerical value only)
    Remaining Amount Remaining dollar value of the gift certificate, if any. (numerical value only)
    Email To Email address to send the gift certificate to.
    Message The message to the recipient of the gift certificate.
    Sku ID The SKU ID assigned to this gift certificate.(alphanumeric characters only)

    Definitions
    SKU SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit which is a number that is assigned to one item and one item only. SKUs are not always physical items, but more appropriately anything that can be billed. Merchants assign their own SKU numbers, and each merchant has a personal approach on how they assign those SKU numbers.
