AffiliatesAn affiliate helps direct traffic to your site. Every affiliate in your affiliate program must have their own assigned affiliate code, this allows the affiliate to get paid for every order the affiliate sends your way. |
Becoming an AffiliateFirst, a user must sign up for the affiliate program, they can do this by clicking on a link, that will be on your site. From the "Manage Affiliates" features, you are able to view a list of users that have signed up. In order for this affiliate program to work properly, you need to assign an affiliate code for each individual user. |
Assigning an Affiliate CodeInclude this url within the email:(http://your_web_site_name/vs_ac.jsp?ac=the_affiliate_code_ you_have_created) this is the url that the affiliate user uses to keep track the traffic comes from their web site. |
| Affiliate Code | This is the code you assign to this affiliate. Only alphanumeric characters are allowed in an affiliate code. |
| Company Name | This would be the affiliate's company name. |
| Affiliate's email address. | |
| Username | Affiliate's user name for your site. |
| Password | Affiliate's password for your site. |
| Site URL | Affiliate's web site address. |
| Pay Option | This is where you would choose to either pay by percentage or per order. |
| Percentage | If choosing to pay by percentage, this is where the percentage would go. (Numerical Value Only) |
| Paid Per Order | If choosing to pay per order, this is where you would put the dollar amount. (Numerical Value Only) |
| Name on the Check | This is the name that the affiliate is to be paid out to, usually the affiliate directly or their company. |
| Sign Up Date | This is the date that the affiliate signed up for the program. |
Payment InfoThere are two ways you can pay your affiliates. You can either choose to pay a percentage of the order placed, or a set amount per order. |

Pay by percentageTo pay the user in percentage means that when a customer, from affiliate user's web site, places an order online, you will pay the percentage of the customer's order. For example, if a customer places one hundred dollars order, you pay him an affiliate percentage rate of 5 percent. So in return, you are going to pay 5 dollars to the affiliate user. |

Pay per orderPaying by order means that for each order places from the affiliate's web site, you would pay a set amount. For example, for example if a customer from an affiliate's website places an order totaling $200, you would pay the affiliate a set amount, such as $5, no matter how much the order totaled. |

View affiliate user activityTo view how many visitors that the affiliate users has brought to your web site, click on the "View This Account Activity" link. The page will contain the traffic information and how much you have to pay for the affiliate users. Select the month and year from the drop down box to view the affiliate information. |
