Product Color

This section will allow you to add, edit, and delete color options for your products. Please note, if you edit a color name, all colors in your web site, with that original name, will be changed to the new name. You can have unlimited color names, so more than likely you will not have to edit a color name, but rather create a new color name.

How Colors impact SKUs and Products

Each SKU is associated with a product id, and a product ID  can have more than one SKU associated with it. A good example of this is colors and sizes of clothing. So, you may sell 1 shirt in 5 colors and 5 sizes which would end up being a total of 25  SKUs. As you can see, this adds complexity to the management of the items, but it also adds a great deal of control as well. The main reason to have a SKU  and product relationship is to maintain inventory and limit customers from ordering items that are sold out.
