This is helpful in the aspect that it will bring customers to your site and help in securing an order. For example, you may send emails to everyone on your newsletter list adverting a sale, which gives you $50 off any order from Friday to Monday, but the customer will need the special discount code that you provide them in that email in order to receive that discount. |
Add a New Promotion/Coupon |
| Promotion Name | This is the name of the promotion. |
| Description | This is a description of the promotion. |
| Apply to Category | If the promotion will apply to a certain category, select it in this dropdown menu. |
| Limit to SKU | If the promotion is going to be limited to a SKU number, enter it here. |
| Promotion Type | This is the promotion type, whether it be a coupon, quantity discount, or an order discount. |
| Amount Off | A numerical value representing amount to discount. |
| Type of Discount | This refers to whether this is for a percentage off or a dollar amount off. |
| Promotion Contraint | This refers to a promotional constraint if any. |
| Start Date | This refers to the start date of the promotion. |
| End Date | This refers to the promotions ending date. |
| Quantity Constraint | This refers to a quantity constraint if any. |
