Site Wide SettingsSite Wide Settings controls many settings that affect your entire site. This section is a primary section that you will use to define the overall features of your site. The modifications made on this page will affect your entire site. This will include the site name, site description, titles, keywords, toggling different features on and off, shipping markup, order notifications, tax rates, maximum cookie times, affiliate rate, and your online processor. |
Shipping MethodsThis section will allow you to setup the shipping methods you will use for your entire site. This section will include information on real-time shipping, adding a new shipping method, and managing your online shipping. |
Gift CertificatesThis section will allow you to add and edit gift certificates. A gift certificate is purchased from your site just like any other product, though instead of an actual shipment going out, the recipient is sent a redemption code in which they may use to pay for the products they order. |
Checkout QuestionsThis section will allow you to setup the checkout questions associated with each order. For some items purchased it may be essential to ask additional information before the order is completed. The checkout questions will work in conjunction with product groups, which will determine what questions will be asked, if any. |
Site AdministratorsSite administrators are those who have a user name and password to the back end of your site. This section will allow you to grant access to individuals by providing them with a user name and password. A new user name and password should be created for each administrator, that way if you ever need to revoke access, you may simply delete the administrators account. |
Shipping SettingsThis section allows you to provide free shipping to those who spend a certain amount on one order. In this section you may change the value as you please to reflect how much a customer will need to spend in order to qualify for the free shipping. |
Shipper AccountsWhen you sign up for shipping accounts with shipping companies they assign your site a User ID and Password, this is the section that would store the information for each of these accounts. |
Merchant AccountsThis section allows you to choose your online processor, the online processor is the processor you will be using to accept credit card payments. There are many sites that offer this service such as Bank of America CyberSource, Authorize.net, 2CheckOut.com, etc. |
Returns (RMA)This section allows you to configure all settings associated with Returns. In this section you may add, edit, and delete reasons for returns, and special RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) policies. This would allow you to choose a certain item, and give it a special policy in regards to returning it, this would be useful if you have an item that you would like to have either a shortened or extended return time. |
SearchThe information on this page is used to configure information that will be displayed when a search is performed on your site. This page allows you to define the product results, product display, and colors. |
Navigation LinksThis section allows you to define how your customers will find information on your site. The main purpose of the Navigational Links is to direct customers to the main products you would like to sell. Sometimes it helps to look at competitors sites to get an idea of how they organize their links. |
Link CategoryAll links must be assigned to link categories, which you can configure in this section. This section efficiently organizes the links on your site for better navigation. |
